The Perfect At-Home Iced Vanilla Latte
Over the years, I’ve spent more than I’d care to admit on picking up coffee to go. I’m a huge coffee lover, and while I won’t be giving up exploring smaller coffee shops (especially when in new cities..), I am letting go of running down to Starbucks 3+ times a week just to bring it home and absentmindedly drink it while buried in work, often not even really consciously enjoying it.
I’ve done a lot of trial and error and have finally found my *perfect* at home iced-latte. It’s so good, in fact, that the past couple of times I’ve popped into Starbucks to pick up my favorite drink of theirs while out, I’ve actually been disappointed that it wasn’t my newfound perfect recipe!
If you’re an iced latte lover like me and have an espresso maker at home, you need to try this combo – you won’t be disappointed!
The key to this drink is the Alfred espresso whole bean coffee and their house-made vanilla syrup. I’m really not sure what kind of magical coffee beans these are, but whenever I have these on a constant re-order since they’re *chef’s kiss* amazing.
I personally use oat milk for my coffee, and I’ve tried a LOT of oat milk in my search to find one that replicates the creaminess of 2% or whole in a latte. The Califia Farms Barista Blend does just the trick.
To make this drink, pour your desired amount of milk over ice. Make a double shot of the Alfred Espresso, add to your milk, along with 1 tablespoon of the vanilla syrup, and enjoy!
