Venice
Venice is probably my favorite city – it’s so special and unique.
I’m big on walking around whenever I travel to a new city – I find it’s the best way to get my bearings while also really taking everything in, and Venice is just the place to do that.
I stayed at the Hyatt Centric Murano, which technically isn’t on Venice itself (it’s on the island of Murano), so a water taxi is required to get over to Venice. Murano is where most Venetian glass is made, and it was such a treat to walk up and down peering into propped open doors of workshops to watch the glassmakers at work, and see the unbelievable pieces lining every shop window. In hindsight, I wish I’d bought a couple more pieces – I did bring home a tiny glass pig though 😂
